The idea
The logo is a pub beer mat. At its centre, a question mark is drawn as a sharpened pencil: the hook is the painted body, the stem sharpens into a wood cone and graphite point, and the dot is the grey mark that point has just written.
It keeps the charcoal, mustard and pencil from the first logos, but turns them into one idea: every question is written by hand.
Heavy Clarendon lettering runs around the rim like a brewery coaster, so it looks at home in the taprooms and bars where trivia nights happen.
- The pencil ? Painted body, sharpened wood, graphite point: a question you can tell was written by hand.
- The dot The graphite dot sits right under the point, as if the pencil just made it.
- The coaster A pinked-edge beer mat, made to be printed on real coasters and stickers.
Logo suite
Every version is drawn from the same master artwork. Pick the one that fits the space; never rebuild it.
Icon
The pencil question mark on its own, in a ringed disc. It works as an avatar, favicon and sticker.
Below 32 px the simplified icon-small file is used automatically.
Clear space & minimum size
x = the width of the rim band that carries the lettering. Keep this much empty space around the badge. Die-cut stickers can use the badge's own edge as the cut line.
Minimum size
| Asset | Screen | |
|---|---|---|
| Coaster badge | 30 mm wide | 140 px wide |
| Small-use badge | 18 mm wide | 80 px wide |
| Horizontal lockup | 50 mm wide | 240 px wide |
| Icon | 8 mm | 16 px (icon-small below 32 px) |
